Portfolio and the frigid cold

I have been working at least 10,000 hours on this portfolio for illustration: children's, books, editorial, posters, books, storyboards, portraits, web design and animatics.

I am getting close to finishing and hopefully be able to market my work for freelance opportunities.

This is my first post of my Elaine Cimino Studio blog, if you don't want to be on this list let me know I will take you off.

I have three blogs Thristy for Change, Born to Draw, and now the Elaine Cimino Studio. It seems easier to have different blogs especially for Born to Draw, which is the title of my book series on teaching children to draw which will be out soon.

If you have not recieved other blogs notifications have no fear, your not on those lists unless you want to be.

It is absolutely frigid out and my office is cold. My fingers are freezing as I type this blog. I live in the old 1940's style house that has no insulation what-so-ever. Hopefully, this is my last winter in this house. But grateful I have a house right now.

Well it's back to the drawing board for me, back to working on mailchimp, setting up my email newsletters for Citizens for Environmental Safeguards and the email notification that I will be sending out to art directors countrywide.

I am creating a platform from which I can service all venues of my tech life. From selling prints off my fine art site (Subia is printing the Giclees), selling my childrens educational books off Born to Draw site and blog and documenting my waking life in the studio here.

Hopefully, the grants I applied for will come in and I will get the boost needed to launch my career to storyboarding and animatics, or whatever starts to sell.

It is a crazy life but often reminded by my best friend, Indy, who now turned 3 over the holidays, how wonderous the small moments are.
Even if it the leaves blowing in the wind.
Even in the face of our dire political happenings.

Got to go warm up with some hot tea.
All is well right now!
